I am honored to have received three awards from the CT Press Club: first prize for editing a web site (The Connecticut Arts Connection), first prize for theater reviews (Spider-man Turn Off the Dark and  Bengal Tiger in the Baghdad Zoo) for Reflections in the Light and a second prize for a feature story I wrote on playright Matthew Lombardo (High, Looped).

As the theater season winds up the awards whirlwind starts. I have voted for my choices for the Outer Critics Awards (that dinner is this Thursday) and The Drama Desk Awards (June 3). I also had the pleasure of sitting on the first Awards Committee for the Connecticut Critics Circle. It was exciting to discuss an excellent season with a group of colleague so knowledgeable about theater.

I must admit I am looking forward to the Tonys (June 10) which officially bring the season to a close. I could use a nap!
